KierWSP ‘highly commended’ at CIHT Awards
03 Jul, 2018 07:00 UTC
KierWSP was ‘highly commended’ in three different categories at the recent Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation (CIHT) Awards.
It achieved the impressive feat for its role on the A43 Moulton Bypass with Balfour Beatty (Collaboration Award), as well as its hard work to promote equality, diversity and inclusion in the sector (Diversity and Inclusion Award), and for achieving a behaviour change for sustainable travel choices with the carpool and ride sharing service Faxi (Innovation Award). The CIHT Awards are a celebration of the highways and transportation industry and reward excellence, professionalism and best practice in the sector.
This achievement caps a busy year for the KierWSP joint venture. Serving Northamptonshire County Council since 2008, the highways and transport provider recently celebrated its 10th consecutive year delivering uninterrupted services to the residents and travelling public of the county. Employing around 450 people, the contract has an annual value of around £45 million and acts as the local highways authority in the area.
